Chinzombo Camp, South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

Designed by award-winning architects Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens, Chinzombo brings luxury, style and elegance to the Luangwa Valley.

This wildly luxurious camp retains its bush feel with grass and canvas walls and spacious living areas that melt into exquisite, tranquil surroundings. Chinzombo won Best New Property in Africa in 2014 and again in 2015. Gigantic, ancient shade trees offer peace and serenity for guests staying in any one of the six stunning villas. This truly special place offers riverside views teeming with wildlife and direct access into one of the most game rich areas of the National Park.

In the 1970s and 80s, the 'old' Chinzombo was Norman's green season home and the site was given to Save the Rhino as a base to stop poaching in the Valley at the time. When Norman Carr Safaris bought Chinzombo back in the mid 2000's a portion of the proceeds was used to relocate black rhino to the North Luangwa National Park where the North Luangwa Conservation Programme is running a rhino breeding and reintroduction project.
