Chongwe River House, Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia

Chongwe River House is award-winning safari design at its finest. The stunning private house is located approximately 1 km away from Chongwe River Camp on a quiet stretch of the river.

Chongwe River House's flowing curves and bends evolve into open living spaces. Branches seem to grow from the walls and blend effortlessly into the lounge and dining areas. Bathtubs in the upper floor bedrooms allow you to completely immerse yourself in the wilderness experience.

Waterfall and rainfall showers, furniture carved from a winter thorn tree, ceilings studded with river pebbles - these are part of the unique charm of Chongwe River House.

The Chongwe area is famous for huge male elephants and while chilling on the deck, you are likely to see elephant wandering around the grounds or crossing the river. Impala, kudu and many other species come to the water to drink. If you sit long enough, all Africa will come to you.
