Luwi Camp
- South Luangwa National Park, ZambiaSituated deep in the heart of the National Park, on the seasonal Luwi River, after which it is named, the area is extremely remote with no other camps or people for many miles around.
Slightly upstream from the parent camp Tafika and inside the South Luangwa National Park, Chikoko Trails is comprised of two camps: Chikoko Tree Camp and Crocodile River Camp. Both camps are only accessible by foot - a walking wilderness free of roads and cell phones. Chikoko has 3 twin chalets raised on 3m stilts, and Crocodile River Camp has 3 twin chalets all with en-suite bathrooms and views of the seasonal riverbed floodplain.
Remote Africa Safaris is privately owned by John and Carol Coppinger, consisting of four intimate camps within remote areas of the South and North Luangwa National Parks. Their highly skilled guides tailor-make each day in the bush. Chikoko Trails is located on the banks of the Luangwa River in the Nsefu sector, just outside the South Luangwa National Park. The Chikoko Trails is slightly upstream from Tafika along the west bank of the Luangwa River in the South Luangwa National Park. Mwaleshi is one of only two camps in the North Luangwa National Park.
Guides on the Chikoko Trails are expert Big Game walking guides with in-depth knowledge of the South Luangwa National Park and it's wildlife, birdlife, flora and fauna.
Chikoko Trails offers excellent morning or afternoon Big Game walks for a maximum of 6 guests.
Chikoko Trails comprises of two small and exclusive bush camps, Chikoko Tree Camp and Crocodile River Camp, accommodating a maximum of 6 guests in each camp, completely off the grid.
The exceptionally remote location of these camps offers guests one of the best opportunities for leopard and serval sightings.
